Describe the visible time window and do not infer the full scene from an excerpt. A looping player can repeat one action even when the original video contains it only once. Identify the clip's start, end and playback boundary before turning it into a generation brief. Unknown preceding or following events should stay unknown.
Inspect the boundary first
Look for a cut, jump or repeated pose at the playback restart. Distinguish movement inside the file from the player returning to its beginning. A visible object may reset because the loop restarts, not because the character performs a reversible action.
Record the source window when available. A five-second excerpt of a longer film cannot establish the full plot, camera route or soundtrack. If the visible beginning is already mid-action, say so instead of inventing an unseen setup.
A fictional floating-ring clip
An invented reference shows a ring rising into the air, then the player jumps back to the ring on a table. The reverse prompt might describe repeated levitation and return. Inspection shows no return movement in the file; only the playback reset supplies it.
A new brief can request one rise and a stable ending, or deliberately design a true loop with a return. These are different creative choices. The latter adds action not demonstrated by the reference, so it should be treated as a new construction rather than exact reconstruction.
State what you have and what you want
Keep two notes: observed excerpt and intended new shot. In the observed note describe the visible states and any cut at the edges. In the intended note specify whether the new shot needs a setup, completion or seamless restart. Do not let the analysis silently expand the excerpt into a whole narrative.
If a critical transition is missing, inspect a longer authorized source where possible. Otherwise choose an explicit cut or a simpler new shot. Do not claim sampling has recovered frames that were never provided.
Review analysis and generated motion separately
Imagild's video reverse-prompt workflow can organize the visible content of an authorized reference. Check the returned temporal description against the actual excerpt. A well-written brief is not proof that the model understood the playback boundary.
When generating a new shot, watch the complete file and any intended loop seam. A correct first and last image can conceal an impossible middle. If the current workflow does not offer seamless-loop editing, use an appropriate external editor and state that step separately.
Can I infer the original video's duration from a GIF?
Not reliably. The GIF may be cropped, sped up or assembled from selected moments. Report its observed duration rather than claiming the full source runtime.
Does a repeated action mean it was generated twice?
No. It may be replay, a deliberate edit or an actual repeated event. Identify the evidence before assigning a production explanation.
