When caption placement differs between editor preview and export, compare a small section from the same saved project before changing the whole movie. CapCut acknowledges preview and rendered-output differences in its editing display help. This article uses CapCut as an external example; it does not assume identical behavior in Jianying or claim that Imagild exposes those settings.
Make the comparison reproducible
Save a project copy and record which version was exported. Pick a short section containing the misplaced caption. Capture the intended preview frame and the corresponding output frame, checking that they represent the same moment. Motion or a caption animation can make two different times look like a rendering fault.
Inspect the exported dimensions and the player view. A fit-to-window preview, cropped display or different aspect ratio can alter apparent position. Check the actual file rather than a messaging thumbnail. If only the receiving player crops it, changing the source caption may make other players wrong.
Inspect the affected layer
In the duplicate project, check the caption's position, scale, anchor or alignment, and any keyframes. Confirm the required font is available in the exporting environment. A fallback font can change line wrapping even when the layer position stays the same. Review nearby effects or compound elements that may influence the layer.
For a hypothetical family film, a two-line caption might become three lines after a font substitution, appearing to move upward although its alignment point is unchanged. Compare a test with the approved available font. This is an assumed diagnostic example, not a declaration that every displacement is a font problem.
Change one relevant variable and export the same short section again. If disabling a particular effect resolves the mismatch, keep that evidence and choose an approved replacement. Do not clear app data or reinstall as a first move when the only editable draft could be lost. Preserve a supported backup before considering disruptive troubleshooting.
Verify the repaired delivery
After the short proof passes, export the complete approved movie and inspect other captions using the same style. Check the start, a dense text section and the ending. A fix to one layer does not establish that every copied caption has identical settings.
Save the passing settings and final file separately from the diagnostic tests. Acceptance means the actual output matches the approved placement at the intended moments and dimensions. For a project assembled from Imagild Film Studio, judge the exported delivery itself, while keeping the editable sources available for any further correction.
