Signing in to the same account does not by itself prove that a video draft has been uploaded and is accessible on another device. Check its actual storage location and transfer status. CapCut's history and synchronization help discusses local drafts and cloud-space handling. Treat this as CapCut documentation; Jianying availability, interface and account behavior may differ.
Locate the current master
On the original device, find the editable draft and confirm it opens with its media. Record its name, last edit and duration. Do not confuse a downloaded viewing export with the project. Keep the current local draft intact while diagnosing access.
Check the account and workspace or space actually selected on each device. A personal area and a shared team area can hold different material. Record the destination explicitly, without exposing login information. Look for a completed upload or synchronization status rather than assuming that closing the app sent every source file.
Test the transfer with the real project
Use the application's documented upload or transfer route when available. Confirm whether the project and required media are included. Wait for the application's actual completion indicator and review any missing-media message. A project name appearing in a list is not proof that all clips have arrived.
For a hypothetical phone-edited family film, the local draft may be complete while the desktop account shows an empty cloud space because that draft was never uploaded there. Uploading to the intended space can address this case. Another case may involve the wrong workspace or an unsupported device workflow; the symptoms alone do not identify the cause.
Open the transferred draft on the receiving device. Inspect the start, a photo section, an audio section and the ending. Make a harmless edit in a duplicate and test a small export if continued editing is the goal. This demonstrates usable access rather than merely synchronized metadata.
Preserve recovery options
Do not clear app data, reinstall or delete the original draft as a first response to a missing list entry. Those actions can remove the only available local material. Keep source files and an approved viewing export independently, using the application's supported backup method for the editable project.
Write down which device and space contain the current editable version. If another editor receives it, confirm permissions in the intended destination without sharing your credentials. Acceptance means the actual receiving device can open and use the agreed project with its media. For Imagild Film Studio, distinguish project continuity from finished-film sharing when planning a device handover.
