A PDF showing a small slide above speaker notes may be a notes-page export, rather than a failed image-size conversion. Check the selected publication or print layout before enlarging the artwork. Decide whether the recipient needs full-slide pages, audience handouts or presenter notes. These are distinct deliverables and should be labeled separately.
Identify the output layout
Look at a complete PDF page. Does it contain one full slide, several slide thumbnails or one slide plus a notes region? Compare that structure with the source deck and the intended brief. A smaller artwork area caused by notes layout is not the same fault as a low-resolution illustration.
Record whether notes are intended for the recipient. Speaker cues can be useful in an operator handoff but irrelevant in a public visual proposal. Do not remove all notes from the editable source just because the current viewing copy needs full slides.
Choose the supported layout path
Microsoft's PDF guide describes available publishing options and platform limits. Its notes-and-handouts guide identifies print layouts such as Notes Pages. Use the supported path for the actual version rather than assuming every operating system exposes identical controls.
On a delivery copy, select the required output layout and range. Inspect the preview, then save with a purpose-specific name. If a direct PDF path lacks the needed option, use an appropriate supported route and check its result. Merely renaming a notes PDF to “slides” will not change its page structure.
A proposed one-slide fixture
Make a hypothetical test slide with a simple portrait placeholder, a title and a short sample presenter note. Produce the intended full-slide copy and, if needed, a separate notes-page copy. Compare artwork area, note presence and page count with a small output checklist.
This is a proposed fixture, not a completed downloadable file. The full-slide version should show the approved slide without the note region; the notes version should contain the needed presenter wording legibly. If a handout contains several slides per page, label that purpose explicitly rather than presenting it as one-slide-per-page artwork.
Verify the recipient's reading task
Accept when the saved PDF has the requested layout, complete slide content and the intended notes policy. Reject missing titles, unreadable note text in a presenter copy or unwanted notes in a public viewing copy. Open the exact transferred file at its normal viewing size and confirm the first and last intended pages.
Keep source notes and the clean viewing export separately. Recheck after changing the export platform or preparing a new range. Imagild's Skills can develop the illustration; notes, handout structure and presentation export belong to external PowerPoint work. Matching the page layout to the recipient's task is more useful than trying to fix a deliberately small slide area by increasing image pixels.
