A venue's LED canvas dimensions are not automatically the same as its accepted video input. Obtain the actual pixel map, input requirements and content region from the operator before exporting. NovaStar's VMP user manual illustrates screen and canvas configuration concepts. It does not prescribe one delivery resolution or codec for every LED installation.
Ask for three separate facts
First, confirm the physical wall's mapped pixel dimensions and whether it includes several panels or separate regions. Second, confirm the playback system's accepted input resolution, frame rate and file requirements. Third, ask where your content will be placed within that input. A processor may map only part of a larger incoming signal to the visible wall.
Request an operator-approved layout diagram or template. Record any reserved areas for logos or live camera feeds. Check whether the wall is one continuous rectangle or several independently mapped surfaces. A photograph of the stage can help composition, but it is not a pixel map.
Design for the approved region
In a hypothetical requirement, a 3072 × 1024 content canvas has a 3:1 ratio. A 16:9 movie cannot fill that region unchanged without another composition decision. Agree whether to use a centered movie with a designed surrounding background, a deliberate crop, or a newly arranged wide composition. These dimensions are an assumed example; use the venue's actual written requirement.
Keep important faces and text within the approved visible area. Do not stretch the movie independently in width to make it fit. If cropping is chosen, inspect every shot rather than only the opening. Wide event layouts often require separate title placement so the audience can read it from the room.
Verify mapping with a test pattern
Prepare a harmless test file using the agreed delivery route. Include visible corner labels, a center marker and a grid, without client-private material. Have the operator display it and confirm that labels appear in the intended corners, lines are not missing and no region is duplicated or cropped unexpectedly.
Then test representative real content and sound. Watch from the audience position to evaluate faces and title readability. A correct mapping grid does not guarantee that a small caption is readable across the room.
Keep the approved mapping note, export settings and event version together. Acceptance means the actual venue system displays the intended composition in the correct region. For Imagild Film Studio, treat the LED adaptation as a specific delivery task after the story is approved, rather than guessing a panoramic export from the stage photograph alone.
