A correctly named asset can still fail to open or synchronize when the receiving environment rejects a character or the full path is too long. Inspect the complete destination path and storage rules before changing the artwork. Chinese characters are not universally invalid; a short portable identifier can be useful without discarding the original descriptive record.
Inspect the entire address of the file
The relevant path includes the recipient's local root, every nested folder, the filename and extension. A package that works in a short local folder can exceed an application's limit after a cloud folder and organizational name are added. Counting the filename alone misses that difference.
Microsoft documents naming restrictions for its storage products and different path limits across environments. These are destination-specific rules, not one universal maximum for every operating system and app. Verify the receiving combination rather than applying an arbitrary number everywhere.
Make a delivery copy with stable identifiers
In a fictional bilingual portfolio, descriptive filenames contain event names, revision comments and punctuation copied from a headline. Instead of deleting the long descriptions, create a separate package whose files use short project identifiers and clear revision suffixes. Put the full Chinese and English labels in an accompanying UTF-8 text record.
For example, img-014-web-r03.png can map to a clearly written description and source identifier. That identifier does not verify the picture's contents; retain the normal visual review. Avoid using a colon, slash or other destination-reserved symbol as decoration in the filename. Keep the correct extension and do not rename a file type to solve a path problem.
Copyable portability brief
Keep the complete original archive unchanged. Prepare a delivery copy with shallow folders, short stable IDs and a bilingual filename-to-description record. Check the receiving application's and storage provider's actual naming rules. Transfer a small representative package first, including the longest path, and confirm the recipient can open each file before sending the full set.
This is a proposed transfer procedure, not a completed cross-platform test. Do not run a bulk rename on the only master or break links inside an editable project without updating them through that application's supported workflow.
Separate a path error from a content error
If the file opens from a short test location but fails in the intended deeply nested folder, record that observation for the receiving application's support route. It suggests a path-related boundary; it does not prove every naming rule or justify weakening system security settings.
Images downloaded from Imagild should remain associated with their actual task and approved version in your private records. The delivered package can use a practical short name while preserving that association. Accept it when the recipient can save, reopen and identify the required assets in the real destination. A screenshot of the sender's successful folder view is not evidence that the receiver's complete path works.
