A size error after pasting an image does not always describe the disk file you checked. The clipboard can carry a different representation, a temporary object or data from the source application. Save a verifiable working file and compare a direct upload before repeatedly shrinking the image. This diagnosis concerns input handling, not transparency preservation.
Identify which representation was submitted
CapCut’s AI Design paste troubleshooting discusses format, encoding and copying routes as well as file size. It concerns that CapCut feature and does not establish a universal limit for AI chats, Jianying or Imagild. Read the current receiving tool’s error and supported inputs.
Record where the picture came from: a messaging application, screenshot editor, photo library or normal file manager. The displayed size can describe a preview or optimized copy. A pasted object can also differ from the file chosen through an upload dialog. Check the actual saved file’s byte size, pixel dimensions and type without assuming that its extension proves its format.
Keep the original reference untouched. A renamed document is not a converted image, and a screenshot of the reference creates a new source with potentially different detail. The test should compare routes for the same inspected working image as closely as possible.
Make an upload-versus-paste comparison
For a proposed diagnostic, save one ordinary reference picture to a known folder and open it outside the source application. Confirm that the face, object or lettering needed for the task remains readable. Then try the supported file-selection route and compare it with the earlier paste observation.
- Record the paste error exactly, including the feature and device.
- Save and independently inspect a real working file.
- Select that file through the tool’s upload control.
- Check the received thumbnail or attachment record before requesting analysis or generation.
- If necessary, convert a duplicate to a documented supported format, then inspect it again.
Change one factor at a time. If both routes fail, file compatibility, dimensions or actual size may still need investigation. A successful file upload supports a route difference; it does not establish the exact internal clipboard encoding or prove that every similar error has the same cause.
Preserve useful reference evidence
Acceptance means the intended image is received through a supported route and still contains the inspectable information the task requires. If compression is genuinely needed, compare the working copy with the source at the same display size. Avoid stripping away a face’s defining detail merely to satisfy an assumed limit that belongs to another model.
This is a repeatable test plan, not a completed upload benchmark. Log the route, file properties and observed receipt. Imagild Skills can be selected after preparing an appropriate reference; a CapCut error does not define Imagild’s upload policy. Questions about lost alpha channels or changed background appearance require a separate comparison and should not be inferred from this size-error test.
